Expanding Early Access to Science

A System for Science Success

PS Science brings hands-on STEM learning to elementary school children in underserved communities. We support classroom teachers and community educators with lessons, materials and training so they can provide their students with regular and ongoing science. Our goal is to ensure that all kids have an equal chance at the STEM careers of the future.

Here's How We are Expanding Science Access

01.

In-Classroom Program

PS Science provides classroom teachers with everything they need to simply and easily teach hands-on, inquiry-based, weekly science.

02.

Teacher Coaching

PS Science Instructors provide coaching support for teachers as they implement a new NGSS aligned science curricula.

03.

PS Science educates children and supports teachers to:

In California, science is not tested until fifth grade, which has resulted in science not being taught nor emphasized in grades Kindergarten through four. PS Science provides elementary school teachers with a sustainable classroom model for weekly science that includes materials, curriculum and training. Through after school clubs, camps, and partnerships with community-based organizations, PS Science also ensures kids have opportunities to do science outside of school. This consistent exposure to meaningful science at an early age equips young learners with confidence in STEM learning for future success.
